In addition to a recipe website, Little Chefs is also a quiet community. I’m excited to explore what that means and how it relates to earlier iterations of social networks. I spoke with Stacy Horn, founder of Echo – a text-based platform from 1989 – about her community’s evolution.

Happy summer! We just launched Pocket Notes, our blog. The first post, Quarantine Picnic, features four recipes from the community and poses a few thoughts on international food sections at grocery stores. I’d love to build out the editorial component of this site and am looking forward to hearing your thoughts and building ways to connect this community.
You’ll notice that we’ve updated the navigation of the site. We did this to streamline the browsing experience and help direct users to sign up/log in.

We also created a few sharing graphics to help promote Little Chefs on Labud’s instagram account. These graphics are new, but they utilize photos of produce we took over 5 years ago when working on Little Chefs version 1!
Hi fellow Little Chefs! Thanks so much for your support so far. We’ve been hard at work gathering your feedback and figuring out where to make improvements. This evening, we added some new ways to explore content on the Discover page. Recipes now show associated images in the discover feed, and recently published or updated menus will also appear. We also added recent menus to the home page.
