lemon rice

Ingredients
cooked basmati rice
udad/urad dal
chana dal
lemon
turmeric
rai (mustard seeds)
hing (asafetida)
curry patta (leaves)
(thai) green chili or dry red chili
coconut oil
Preparation
heat oil on medium-high
add rai
when it starts popping, add dals until they are slightly brown
add hing, tumeric, and chili
add curry leaves last (will sputter again)
add rice and mix until evenly yellow
add lemon last
Notes
my mom's recipe. this is nice to make with leftover rice since it should already be cooked.
